BGR Consult LTD (BGR) is an innovative think-tank solving people & process-related gaps for government entities, companies and businesses across Africa by providing training and advisory services to institutions. BGR respects your privacy concerns and this Privacy Notice explains how we handle your personal data and our attitude towards data privacy and protection. For the purposes of this Privacy Notice, “personal data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual.

BGR uses the data collected from Users to perform services requested by you, respond to your enquiries, customer support, improve our services ,improve our products, contact you about changes to our website or products and manage our relationship with you.If you register for our newsletters, we will only contact you to send the updates to you.

Data collected by BGR may be transferred outside Nigeria. We rely on the appropriate data transfer mechanism or any of its relevant exceptions to transfer data outside Nigeria. We would ensure appropriate safeguard before transferring data outside Nigeria. We also ensure that data is not transferred outside the whitelisted countries as stipulated by NITDA.

Generally, we have a no transfer policy and we do not transfer your data to any third party or entertain any third party request through our website. However, we may share your data with third parties if:If we have to complete a contract on your behalf;If you give your explicit instructions and consent;If there is a legal obligation on us to share such data under existing laws and regulations;There is court judgment, injunction or any other binding legal directive.

HOW LONG DO WE STORE YOUR DATA

We retain your data for the duration of our relationship. Also, we retain data, subject to relevant provisions of applicable laws. Upon the expiration of our relationship, we would archive and stop actively using any personal data about you within 6 months from the termination of our relationship.


WHERE DO WE STORE YOUR DATA?

The personal data we collect is processed at our offices in Nigeria and in any data processing facilities operated by the third parties where we store data. If we transfer or store your information outside Nigeria in this way, we will take steps to ensure that your privacy rights continue to be protected as outlined in this Privacy Notice.


SECURITY OF DATA

We are very particular about preserving your privacy and protecting your data. Therefore, to avoid the loss, theft, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction of your information, we have put in place a range of administrative, technical, organizational and physical safeguards while in BGR' possession or control. The security measures that we have implemented include, but are not limited to:Encryption of Personal Data during transmission;Prevention of accidental or unauthorized access, reading, copying, modification, removal or destruction of the Personal Data;Access is restricted to BGR's employees who have a “need to know” in order to carry out the purpose of providing you with the requested service and all of those employees are under an obligation of confidentiality with BGR;  Training of BGR's employees regarding the proper handling of Personal Data;Use of technological means (e.g. firewalls) to prevent unauthorized access to the Personal Data while it is in BGR's possession or control;Logging of all processing activity of the Personal Data which records when the Personal Data was processed, what processes the Personal Data underwent, anyone that accessed the Personal Data, where and when the Personal Data was transmitted and when the Personal Data was erased from BGR; andAnnual review and evaluation of the adequacy of BGR's security measures.
