- Who we are
we are an innovative think-tank solving people & process-related gaps for companies and government entities.
Our name, BGR, is a tribute to BOGARU, the historic gateway in Fika, Yobe State, which once connected civilizations and facilitated the flow of commerce and culture. Though BOGARU no longer stands, its essence endures in our mission. We are the modern gateway, enabling businesses and talent to navigate the complexities of the continent. We see Africa’s diverse landscapes and markets not as challenges, but as opportunities for growth, innovation, and impact.

The Strategic Landing Pad
Driven by one question: How can we serve Africa better — across borders, languages, and ecosystems? Between 2022 and 2024, we tested and learned what true cross-border growth takes. Operating first in Ghana, then pivoting fully into Rwanda, we’ve unlocked a leaner, smarter, and more strategic pathway to scale our impact across the continent. This wasn’t just a relocation — it was a strategic move grounded in data, opportunity, and purpose.
With 8.2% GDP growth (2022–2023), a 63.5% surge in FDI inflows in H1 2024, and $3.2B in investment commitments, Rwanda offers unmatched economic resilience. Its EAC and COMESA memberships unlock access to 540M+ consumers, while government-led digitalization, cybersecurity investments, and 82.6% mobile penetration create a digitally ready, stable, and investor-friendly environment — making it the perfect landing pad for BGR’s next decade of work.

Bridging the Gap for Africa's Future Workforce
Africa faces an unprecedented demographic transformation that will define the continent’s economic trajectory over the next three decades. By 2050, Africa’s youth population will surge to 850 million, with 10 million young professionals entering the labor market annually. However, current economic structures generate only 3 million formal employment opportunities per year, creating a structural deficit of 7 million jobs annually. This systematic employment gap has resulted in 36% of Africa’s youth being either unemployed or economically discouraged, with merely 28% securing formal wage employment.
